Kate & Laura
We have been friends for over 17 years. We first met in 1993, our freshman year of high school, in health class. Kate was painfully quiet and shy. Laura a little more on the un-shy side. It all started when Laura was signing Kate's yearbook (hence the name for our blog) and signed it to herself. Kate so sweetly and shyly said "Um, you wrote this to yourself"...
Fast forward a couple of years to Junior year when Kate & Laura were both two obnoxious teenagers hanging out with the same group of friends. This started the beginning of their beautiful friendship and have been best friends ever since.
We have been through a lot together. We have seen one another's struggles and been a part of some of each other's most raw moments. Bridesmaids in each other's weddings. Roommates for a year. In trouble with the law (very minor). Together through thick and thin, though miles and miles separated us, one another's absolute true blue friend.
We thought it would be fun to share this blog. A merging of sorts. We both, having been through different obstacles in life, having different perspectives, both loving God, moms of like minds, senses of humors alike, feel we could have one awesome, rocking blog.
With having met in school and our first big memory of each other being a yearbook, as well as both having an extreme love for books and reading, combined with being through so much together over the years, we felt "The Yearbook" as a title is more than appropriate.
We both desire to use our lives, raw emotions, struggles, and humor for God's glory.
