About Kate

I live a blessed life as a wife and a mother of two, a son and a daughter. I have struggled with miscarriages for four years, but because of my faith in Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, I am through the tragedy and sadness of pregnancy loss. I hope to inspire others who are facing their own nightmares of miscarriage to never give up.

I graduated from college in 2003 with a degree in social work. Before having my first child, I worked for a non-medical home care company that provides companionship services to senior adults. I quit my job to be with my son, and now run a day care out of my home. Although I love watching children, I miss working with seniors. I believe our older adult population has so much to offer but is often misunderstood and neglected.

I am passionate about my family. I love cooking, coffee, dark chocolate, Pandora, swimming, volleyball, cheese, reading, Goodwill, and taking pictures of my kids, just to name a few. I am a sucker for water bottles, sweater jackets and devotionals. I love to laugh, and try to stay positive and upbeat through life's unpredictability, because I know God is always in front of me.
